The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to status sassa a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
